lazy Summer days,school and stuff

Summer this year, for me, has been spent mostly behind this laptop. I've had two classes, Kansas History online, and basic math. It's not that either one were really difficult I just always forget the amount of work is double in the summer.. it's more work since it's less time and this time it was tons more work for the History class since it was online. I've managed to read two full textbooks on the History of Kansas and the people involved in that History and write 26 essays about all those 26 people in that one book. And then from the other book I have had 4 questions with 4-6 parts each to answer over each chapter. sigh!~ So now that I'm within the end of it all, I can finally write and say... THANK GOD I survived~ Well almost this is the final week with most of the work, I have a test next week to finish the math class and I have to turn in the final paper for history, it is about Brown VS. Board of Education that is to be 2-3 pages but then has to comply with a whole Rubic of demands.... Challenge to say the least~!
So that is the update from me.. others in the house.. Derek is leaving in August to beginning the first of 2 months of training for his next deployment to Afg. around the end of the year or Jan. 2010... Casey's unit is in the process of moving out of Baghdad and he has a new address.

SPC Thompson Casey
B Troop
5-73rd CAV (MPs)
FOB Hammer
APO-AE 09308

So please send him packages at this address as of the first of August.
He also learned that he will be moving to Germany in Jan-Feb 2010 for his next duty station. So he's got alot of packing to do in the next few months. Moving from Baghdad into the outer lying areas of Iraq, then HOME in Nov. and finally a move to Germany at the beginning of the year. BUSY BOY~

Brian is home from Church camp, and spending alot of time with Derek just hanging out.

Ann is off to Church camp this week and she's glad that she got to go, since she had that broken Ankle it was a bit tentive for her to be able to go.

Donald is of course busy with work and the many projects that we have here at home...

We hope that your summer is warm, filled with sunshine and enjoyment... We are so thrilled that God gives us each new day to enjoy!

THANKS for checking in with us!!

Oh yes, the puppies,,, (got you to read the whole posting to get to the explainion of the picture)
We got these two puppies almost a month ago and well, we have had a ton of fun with them...
Snoopy (who is deaf) and is sleeping in his usual position and Leo who heard me open the door jumped up) so I missed him resting.
They are doing well and of course are sleeping alot...

Sounds like you are a family on the go! It sure is different when the kids leave home. All three girls and 2 grandsons were back this weekend for the NEMO Fair. Grandma cried last night when the last grandson left. He lives 16 hours away!
