What a pretty porch arrangement they all made..

Where does the time go? It's been a while since I posted and it's time for an update here.We have continued with our home improvements and with the general property improvements. As most know.. we have a long list of them!
So before winter we hope to finish the wood floor, lay the tile and finish the barn... YEAH
Wed, October 1, 2008 Casey made it home for the final part of his 2 weeks of leave before he's packed and ships off for overseas. Where we don't know yet.. But somewhere in the Middle East. We were all thrilled to see him and had taken off work and even Brian and Andrea were allowed to skip school for Thurs. and Friday to spend time with their brother. We had the perfect weather, cool mornings for sleeping in and warm afternoons for working outside.
Casey got to help finish up the trusses that Don had started building, help with cutting the tin back to get the roof attached, help with setting the trusses in place and he also helped with splitting a huge pile of wood in front of the shed. We did manage to do some fun things, like eat and sleep and tease each other, had a bonfire, had lots of friends and family come for dinner, breakfast and hot dogs... We do manage to pack alot into a few short days
We sure do like having a good bonfire... It seems that we can always manage to have enough old wood to burn. It was the perfect night for it since it was coolish but still warm...
We got the trusses up with the help of a wonderful group of family and friends. Mike, John P and John T., Coulter, Dalton, and Cody. I had wonderful kitchen help,,, Patty, and Letha. The forklift was a GODSEND!! We are so lucky to have family and friends that will just come and work...
My Canna's are doing really well!! Thanks Cindy!!

A fork lift is an amazing piece of equipment!!
Don designed and built the trusses and set the poles for this 34X24addition to the shed. We are thrilled to have more space to clear out the wood working equipment from the garage and get it moved to this new area. Now if we can get it all done and ready! Roof and sides and concrete all to come...
We hope that October is a wonderful fall month for you and yours!
Prayers to all soldiers and their families,, May you all be blessed and safe!
