Two girls, 4 games, flowers, garden and a PERMIT to DRIVE!!

M getting ready to bat, and Andrea watching. What fun a weekend can be! For us this weekend was about softball games with two girls and 4 games from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. The first two games where in Cherokee and both girls teams won. Andrea's team was in overtime and She had two good hits that made runs. M. got hit and made a run, got a walk and made it home. So both girls had a super time with winning both games. I also had a wonderful "bat boy" who I forgot to get a photo of. But S. was awesome the whole night!
Practice before the Friday game.

Saturday games were in Columbus and were as fun. M's team did a great job. The Columbus team has some good pitchers and our girls aren't too sure about fast pitches, so it was harder for both girls to hit and get on base. M got on base from being hit again!... and Andrea made a strike out and a walk. M's team won, but Andrea's team lost.
Two teams, two girls both did a super job~
Also this weekend we planted some garden, 34 tomato plants and 34 peppers of 3 varieties, Also a row of sweet corn.

No the plastic won't grow but maybe it will keep the plant from being wind blown.
Lovely ruffled yellow Iris.

Soft violet ruffled Iris

The old fashion purple iris

two yellow finches were in the back yard this am. I was only able to get one pictured.
Many of my flowers are blooming and it's so great to finally see the colors.

ALSO this week, Brian took the test for his learner's permit to drive on Thursday afternoon, then again on Friday. AND I let him drive CASEY'S truck to school, with me and Ann of course...

YES, it's true he's passed, It took two tries, but he did it. 25 questions and only 5 allowed to be missed, first time he missed 8 and the second time he missed only 2. Great job BRIAN~

Look out on the streets for his face~
