A 24th Birthday, 1 Softball game, 30 hours of Church and a Solo sung~

What a busy weekend. Derek left on Thursday for his Guard Duty in Indiana. And today is his 24th B-Day... This was Derek this time last year in Iraq. At least he's in the states this year and we will see him on Tuesday. He also got to celebrate with his cousin Matthew who was 8 today...
Also, this weekend we attended Softball on Friday and dropped Brian at the Church for the 30 hour famine and community work. Andrea played softball on Friday night and then we dropped her at the church so that she could spend the night. The ball game was good, she hit the ball her first time up. Got out on first but she's hitting at least.

Then this morning Don picked her up at church and brought her home for a shower and to dress for the Mid-America Music Festival where she was singing a solo. Then we headed for the ball field and opening ceremonies, back to church to drop her off to finish off the day of community service and famine. And finally, her and Brian are home tonight at 7 pm. Long day.

Andrea at the Opening Ceremonies.

The whole girls softball league at Opening Ceremonies.

This is the video of part of the song she sung, "Reflection" from the movie "Mulan". This was the first time that we had seen her sing a solo and she was a little nervous, but we thought it was wonderful!! UPDATE: She got a grading of a "1" which is the top ranking.

One last photo, Andrea meeting back up with the church youth group. Brian was actually in the van too, but I didn't get his photo.. (Next time)
