Spring Clean up and Ball Games!

It's warming a bit in Kansas. We have had a few 70ish days, one or two 80 days and more RAIN then I care to talk about. But we keep working in the yard each day that it's nice. So we have finally cleaned the limbs up from the 4 ice storms and burned them.. WE love big fires... So we had one night where it was warmish and we had no wind.. Hard to get in flat KS. but we got the brush burned..

We also had a good day building some raised beds for garden spots one weekend. Now we just need it to be dry so that we can get dirt into them. Finally we have started watching Andrea play softball. This is her first year and so she's really learning alot. The first few practices didn't impress her and she was about to hang it up. But now with 3 games under her belt she's having fun. She plays right field and has batted a few times. Still working on making a connection with the ball.. But she's good at throwing and running.. LOL

Ann in right field!

now at least she's swinging... still missing but swinging....

And as a sign of how cold and gross it's been here... My Christmas flower bloomed..
At least it's lovely and we also have iris and tulips outside that have managed to bloom in the coolness... We are ready for HEAT!!

One more new event this month was the Dad, Daughter Date night at Girl Scouts. Ann is just finishing up her first year of scouts so she and Don really had a good time.

And one final Ball game we got to see today was Jake's game against Baxter. We haven't heard how the outcome was. But When we watched, Jake made a wonderful catch in center field and got a little hit to get out at first. Very impressive for the Varisty team...

Hope your spring is green and warming!
