Where does the time go? Somehow each day is sucked up and we forget to realize how easy they slip away one to the next and month after month passes by.
Today was the first day of school for us in KS. Today our two youngest started at a new school, with new teachers and new friends, rode a new bus, but went there with their COUSINS!
Today, Brian went to 7th grade and then signed up for football. For him, and us, that was a big deal has we aren't a very sporty family. He's so thrilled with the whole event. We drove the kids to John and Deb's to get on the bus and the 6 cousins were pretty thrilled to be attending school again. Everyone made it off on the bus at 7 am and most of them made it back to J and D by 4 pm. Brian and Josh were staying for the first day of football.
Today, Andrea went to 5th grade at Cherokee Attendence Center. She was excited to see who was going to be in her class and to see what the new teacher was to be like. She was very thrilled with her new MAN teacher, (I guess she's not had a male teacher before, we hadn't really thought about it) She was disappointed that she forgot her pencil box with all the pencils and markers but glad that the teachers gave her 2 new ones for the day...
On my own little note, I've worked all week and some last week setting up the preschool room where I work. (Our kids come there on Monday) We are so blessed to have a new lovely room with 2 bathrooms and big spaces to stretch out in. Even though time is marching right along, each day I say, "THANK YOU" for the things we all have, Home, family, schools and work... FRIENDS and LOVE !!! I hope that you mark your first days of school with positive feelings like we did.....
